I was back at the lower dam area and found the heron again. I was able to get a couple shots thru grass at first, then repositioned for a better composition. I suppose I got to close and he flew to the other side of the river. I went further downstream and waited a little bit until yep, he flew back to me haha!

I was walking back to my truck along the river past the lower loch raven dam when I came along mr. green heron :-)
Images from this month of some eagles, geese, blue herons, robins, a hawk and a woodpecker – all from the lower dam in loch raven ;-)
I watched the heron for an hour or so when it (went back?) to finish off breakfast that was laying on a rock out in the middle. I think it was hoping to catch something fresher haha…
