I was back at the lower dam area and found the heron again. I was able to get a couple shots thru grass at first, then repositioned for a better composition. I suppose I got to close and he flew to the other side of the river. I went further downstream and waited a little bit until yep, he flew back to me haha!

I was walking back to my truck along the river past the lower loch raven dam when I came along mr. green heron :-)
I’m not sure why I never posted this series of images. I was walking back from taking duck pics in the snow when I came across this fox on the trail. He took off immediately but seeing that he left his snack behind I sat and waited for him to return – which he did!
I decided to switch up and try the upper dam instead of the lower dam all the time. Turns out, when birds (ahem eagles) fly over the top from below they come straight at me!
I was walking along the shoreline around dulaney valley bridge taking some duckie pics (for another post) and started thinking, hmm, it’s about the time of year I came across a whole bunch of waxwings. I started scanning the trees carefully looking for them … bam, there they were!
