I got a little too close and the next thing I know they were gone. Usually they are around a corner back in the cove, but the other day they were off a point. Since I couldn’t try my usual ‘lie on the ground eye-level and wait hoping a duck will swim around the corner of the cove’ trick, I just kinda walked up to them until they took off.
