There are lots of Black Ducks and Hooded Mergansers at the ‘pond’. If I’m lucky and I slowly approach they won’t fly away. Then I will hunker down next to a tree near the shore and hope some unsuspecting subjects swim by (or simply some brave ducks)! After a while the word seems to get out and they stay clear.
