It was awesome watching so many ducks swim around right in front of me yesterday morning at loch raven. Most of them were Common Mergansers, but there were a lot of hoodies also, amongst others. They were pretty much just hanging out near the shoreline, but occasionally the large flotilla would swim out of sight in the heavy fog.
