There are what seems like hundreds of American Robins flying around the neighborhood and in my backyard! Of course I had to grab my camera with the 800mm lens and a 1.4x teleconverter to get in closer – too close sometimes :-)

I was walking along the shoreline around dulaney valley bridge taking some duckie pics (for another post) and started thinking, hmm, it’s about the time of year I came across a whole bunch of waxwings. I started scanning the trees carefully looking for them … bam, there they were!
I noticed a lot of birds flying around the house this morning, so naturally I grabbed my camera :-)
These were shot out of my bedroom window – can’t get much easier than that :-)
I decided to go mirrorless (anybody want a D500?) and found my first test subject right in the backyard! The new camera has a lot autofocus settings I still need…
