The following images were shot this morning at the lower loch raven dam. I almost missed it – the eagle I had been watching seemed to have been waiting for me to leave, but I ran back into position barely in time when I saw the action!
You can see the fish pretty easily through the water, the water is very low at the lower dam – easy pickings for the eagles :-) I believe they are hickory shad… dead ones all over (see last image – ewww).
A jealous onlooker …
