This Killdeer was pretty cooperative. I approached little by little – when it would start sounding-off I would stop and sit. It would then eventually go on with it’s business. Then I’d creep closer and wait some more. Eventually I went out into the middle of the stream where there was a little island and laid down, supporting my camera with my elbows dug down into the sand.
